Wolves make a £2m offer for Chris Wood. https://www.clubcall.com/leicester-city/leicester-braced-for-wood-offer-1733776.html I really like the lad, but not sure he can cut it at Premiership level. Would definitely sell for that, but would equally be happy to give him a chance in the big league.
We'd have to be pretty sure about a couple of strikers coming in (likely Ulloa and Campbell) before contemplating letting him go. I suppose it's up to him if he wants to stay and fight for a place in the Prem or be first choice elsewhere.
This is very stange in deed. I was only saying to myself earlier that he´d be better off staying in the champ´ship. Maybe going to Derby, Forest or may be Wolves. Oh btw I also talk with animals & the dead too.
More Leicester gossip... We are after Argentinian striker Sebastien Blanco from Kharkiv, apparently available at a knockdown price of £2m. Also, Watford have made an offer of £1.2m for Andy King. Watford can kiss my arse for that much http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-Benzema-Wilfried-Bony-attracts-Lekhwiya.html
I would want 3M at least for King. Goalscoring international midfielder Were also premier league allowing us to inflate prices
I'm a fan of both of them, but King and Wood were struggling to get into our team in the Championship. I never like to see any of our players go (I'm actually really upset that Dyer's gone, especially as he may be benched by some random Italian!) but if getting rid of Wood and King leads to us signing international-standard players like Blanco and Slimani, then it's a step up (can't say I've heard of Blanco but a quick search shows he has caps for Argentina). Ultimately, looking for quality signings has to go above sentimentality.
I can just see Wood coming into the side later in the season and causing all sorts of problems for opposition defences. I really wouldnt want to let him go.
If we did sign Slimani and Campbell - and I know that is a big 'if' ... then Wood should probably look to go as (theoretically at least) he becomes sixth choice stiker ...
He only seems to have half a season in him, that's Wood's problem, though it could be said we haven't given him a full one to prove himself. I'd like to think we haven't seen the last of him in a Leicester shirt.
Think Wood did make a couple of sub appearances for WBA in the Premier League as a 17 year old and I believe it has been a burning ambition of his to get back there so unless he never really felt part of the close knit City unit I don't think he would agree to drop back down without at least fighting until January to get in the side.
If we get all these FOR´s in we will more than likely sell Wood, but king will be a good squad player & for that price... Watford please. We got promoted & have money not the other way around.
