If you cannot find work you must be lazy or think you are too good to do some menial tasks.

Like it always has come from the current working crop.there was also big unemployment in past years but the past workers who payed there dues should not be penalised and made to work longer thus leaving no jobs for the young

If I was an employer I would find it difficult to employ a large % of our young people!!
A lot of them are workshy, have little or no respect for the elders or surroundings, and think the world (us) owe them a living.
They shod get off their fat ar$es and prove me wrong

Not that we would be tarring them with the same brush ey. You contradict yourself, it is a catch 22.

To play devils advocate, why don't older people just go off and die, freeing up the jobs market and pension (and other drains on society) money. Logans Run style.

    Crap!!
Older people should work for as long as they want - its up to the youth to be more competitive and not unreliable!!

    :headbang:

What makes one person more unreliable than another? Simply bollocksy stereotyping. Do all old people therefore stink of piss and can't remember things???

It would be nice if people just finished there working life then just died but unfortunately for the young of today they don't and in some cases live quite a long time after there working life is over.that is why when you were young you worked and looked after our old and appreciated what they had done in the past.of course the old of today has worked at making the current crop of young people's life a lot easier as in the past years.

Well what a golden generation. So who is at fault for the current situation? The older people or the younger people?
