Just had a chat with a friend on the phone and she was saying something about sheffield united supporters having a minute's applause for this piece of scum?? Does anyone know if that is for real...and if it actually happened? If it did, that is astonishing - and sheffield united should be kicked out of the league, or at least demoted. Hit them where it hurts. That frankly turns my stomach, and I hope others too. ...if what she told me is wrong, my apologies to any sheffield united supporters reading this and I take it back. She seemed pretty sure about it though - though I haven't seen anything about it. I'd like to think it would be shouted from the rooftops if it was true so I have my doubts....it's beyond sick if it is.
Heard they were planning a minutes applause in the ninth minute (he wears number 9) and again in the 35th minute (for the 35 goals he scored)! Disgusting behaviour...some fans are determined to give football a bad name...they should be ashamed of having him associated with their club...they most definitely shouldn't be celebrating him!
