This is a difficult one, as in my last year at school (1983) I was into ELO in a big way and not much into the (then) current music scene. ELO's album of that time was Secret Messages - which I do like, but was more into Out of the Blue and Discovery from the mid-late 1970s My sister was into Genesis and I think Genesis(Genesis) was about that time (the album with Mama on it) - which I like Foreigner Agent Provocateur was around that time - but I preferred Foreigner 4.......
Ok, you have given me a guilt complex, so I have just dug out 5, scratched but well loved albums from 1963 Joe Brown and the Bruvvers - A Picture of You The Beatles - Please Please Me Del Shannon - Hats off to Del Shannon Billy Fury - Billy Buddy Holly - Reminicing 16 years old, if I only had the knowledge then I have now, wow I have enjoyed my life.

Going to join in if you don't mind. Counting my last years at "school" as my final years at Stafford CAT - would have been mid 70's. Totally agree, my tastes are extremely eclectic but mainly of that period, I can even look back on prog rock with fondnest, punk rock sort have passed me by, I did like the Clash, Stranglers and Buzzcocks and singles by the Sex pistols and Sham 69.
