......what if soon Gyan makes a statement along the lines of he had to get away because of Bruce, and now wanted to come back and try again next season. Would anyone want him? x
gyan can stick it, far as it'll go. lightweight mercenary, who left for money, nowt else. i don't care if him and bruce fell out, we the fans paid the ****er's wages, and he spat on us, left us in the lurch with no time to get a replacement in. i hope he rots in that desert.
i really dont think its like that bsc there is def something that we dont know about. i was at 2 pre season friendlys in germany and even tho he never played he came over to the fans, he was the only one btw (apart from anton) at bielfeld he jumped over the barrier and was posing for pictures and signing shirts the lot.. top top bloke!
no he went to the highest bidder when only the loan market was open and wanted to leave bruce.... i belive (i want to belive)
I'd have him back , but with an agenda. Get him playing. Get him scoring. Get a huge bid from Citeh or Chelski Get rid.
aye davie, that option doesn't sound too sad. fair enough to you lads talking about the friendlies, but was it us that he loved, or the attention?? i recall a player who was fantastic when the going was good, and totally anonymous when it wasn't, a bloke more interested in making rap videos than training. and if it was a fallout with bruce, well... didn't bruce and anton nearly come to blows, with bruce screaming at him to get out of the club?? anton got his head down and worked. if gyan ****ed off to the middle east because he had a row with bruce, what does that say about the man?? also, o neill isn't exactly renowned as being easygoing...
No way, greedy mercanary ****. Pro's would stick by their team mates regardless of personal issues he might have had with Bruce, he's a greedy ****ing ****, let him rot in front of 800 fans.
cant really say tbh but what i seen was a bloke that bent over backwards for the fans and he does make a sizeable donation from every months wadge to the safc foundation (quinn said so) so **** knows what happened but if he was only all about himself he wouldnt bother going to all that trouble
aye but given he may well have trebled his salary going to the middle east, a few bob to a charity to maintain his image is not going to bother him too much is it??
If he'd do a job for us, I'd still take him back. The only thing is, would his health have deteriorated from playing in the ultimate Mickey Mouse league?
but if he is a greedy **************************** like a lot of people seem to think he simply wouldnt do it!! and bent was in exactly the same possition but no money given to our charity from him! i really dont know what happened mate but i think a lot of people are jumpping the gun a bit we dont know the full story, if the story comes out that he soley did it to get some wedge i will think he is a **** too
You have to remember, the Club didnt do to badly with getting him out on loan 6 million + a 2 million saving in wages for the year, we only bought him for 13 million, so he only really cost us 5 million and he is still our player for another 2 years (if he comes back). Timing was crap, but i still think Quinn/Byrne/Short had more to do with this deal than Bruce or even Gyan himself.
Said when it happened Gyan wasn't looking happy with the way things were going under Bruce. Lets be fair he isn't a punt the ball to him striker, he was running his socks off in the beginning trying to make Bruce's **** tactics work. Ending up near the corner flags in most cases chasing lost causes, then ending up shattered when a reasonable chance came up late on. If I was as good a footballer as he clearly is, I would have been well pissed off at those tactics too. Have him back? Like a rat up a drainpipe with the right tactics he and Bendtner could be one hell of a strike force. PS. Notice how many times Bendtner ended up near the corner flag with the ball too? Not where you want your strikers. IMHO!
Have to question why he left the way he did? I do think there's a lot of unanswered questions? To lose one striker is a pity but you go along with it, to lose two in strange circumstances was baffling? Was it just about the money? Not sure I agree. Anton seemed to make noises that he didn;t want to go but Bruce pushed him out same with KJ. The phrase ' where there's smoke there's fire' comes to mind!
