http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/chrisbevan/2012/02/liverpool_cup_win_also_persona.html#more The above link should take you to the BBC website, in which a journo is posing the question, "is winning the Mickey Mousers' Cup a one-off or the sign of things to come?" Was there really nothing else to write about? Every man and his dog knows and accepts that 'Pool are finished as a big club for the foreseeable future.
I'm wondering if The Grand Wizard's comment saying the trophy was "the first of many" means all their previous trophies no longer count for anything. If so, that should stop them trying to play Top Trumps with things they won before the back pass rule was changed...
On the subject of going back., Can anyone tell me ?., Do I have to continuously go back to the Tottenham front page (home page) on here (not 606) to get the latest posted replies to a threads. Its seems so long winded, to have to go back the the home page whilst in the middle of a conversation piece.
really let it not bother us about liverpool and their success...id love a day out at wembley to watch my team win a trophy...im absolutely livid about the no show yesterday...im more worried about where we left our desire yesterday.
You do realise that 'Pool's name, on the Mickey Mousers' Cup, now appears directly below that of the mighty Birmingham City? Awesome!
i do understand HIAG...i struggle to mock them for at least this week..following our own shameful debacle yesterday.
With no European commitments the Mousers treated the League Cup as a priority from the start, whereas most other teams that would be considered contenders fielded severely weakened teams along the way ( I know Spurs and Man Utd certainly did). This cup win wont be the start of a new era of success for the Klanfielders, they are still way off winning the league. I have a friend who is a Mouser (glory supporter incidentally), and he was smugly crowing about Liverpoo`s cup win....... I had to remind him that in 2008 his words were `woopy do, its only the Mickey Mouse League Cup` after Spurs had beat Abramovich FC in the final......... how times have changed!
yeah it's funny how other team's put it down until it's the only trophy they can win ,then it's a great cup to win
