Dean Saunders taking over with immediate effect. Hope the new manager syndrome doesn't kick in ready for Tuesday night. I wonder if Parkin will still be heading to the Keepmoat?
Donny have only won 3 out of their last 35 competitive games, with their last League victory being on 1st March.
apparently its still 'only' £27 to get in even though its a new product. Yes £27 to watch a **** 4th division team punching well above its natural level. Its appropriate i suppose that guy who is bank-rolling them is a plastic surgeon!
There squad is very small with a lack of quality, Billy Sharp is the best they have and I believe he is injured? I think the Scunthorpe away game of last year will come on tuesday night against Donny!
There's a thousand examples of a new manager making no difference whatsoever but there's also a thousand examples of a new manager completely turning teams around very quickly. Judging by our form, promise in front of goal and solid defense I'd back us to win even if they were sitting mid-table right now.
indeed it wont. you cannot make race horses out of donkeys. this should be a scunny away type result. interesting that O'Driscoll is on gardening leave. feel sorry for him as his best players are out injured. they have been ravaged by injuries all season and its very hard to see what difference dean saunders can make.
oh dear. are you a hull city fan? have nt you learned not expect anything over the years. next you ll be singing: "we don't lose away"!
It's standard procedure to put managers on garden leave (it is not gardening leave as the media calls it). It stops the club having to allow the manager to work his notice period
as opposed to the Donny game itself which was one of the low points of last season. mind you, we did beat them at the KC which shows how bad they were. I guess O'Driscoll chose to go before we played to deny us the opportunity to sing "getting sacked in the morning"
I ****ing hate it when stats like that come up, SSN will be putting that up against our away record to complete the jinx. You can make a decent amount of money over a season by taking these kind of games and betting against the form each time, must be something about complacency creeping in.
I hate it when people talk about 'natural levels' of a club. It's TWS talk that is. Back on topic, it's strange that they'd leave it until the day before a game, and allow him to loan Parkin before sacking him. Surely if you were sacking him due to the poor results it'd be Monday morning or something, nothing has happened since last weekend to change their minds. It'd also allow the new manager to choose his own signings. This seems to be one of those knee-jerk reactions like when we sacked PB. Yeah they're bottom but aren't they the smallest club in the league? If Leicester or WHAM were bottom I'd see the point in sacking the managerbut it's not a surprise that Donny are there is it?
Ask Perry/Percy/TWF/McLean for England/SuperTosser...... [Edit: Where is the **** when you want him to spout ****?!?]
