Rotherham United sign Richard O'Donnell... Rotherham United have signed goalkeeper Richard O’Donnell from Bristol City for an undisclosed fee, subject to EFL and FA ratification. The 28-year-old rejoins the Millers for a second spell having previously spent time on loan at Millmoor whilst contracted to Sheffield Wednesday in 2008. The Sheffield-born stopper arrives at the AESSEAL New York Stadium to compete with current goalkeeper Lewis Price for the number one jersey, following the news that Lee Camp has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury. O’Donnell rose through the Academy system at Hillsborough, where he first came to the Millers’ attention. He was signed on loan in 2008 as cover for the then number one Andy Warrington, but he didn’t make a first-team appearance for the club. Recently he has enjoyed spells with the likes of Walsall, Wigan Athletic and Bristol City, and has played 11 games in all competitions for the Robins this season. please log in to view this image
A shame in a way - on his day a fine keeper, but prone to too many errors. ...Watch him now summon the spirit of Lev Yashin and almost single-handedly keep Rotherham up at our expense!
hope it works out for him, both current goal keepers are not good enough at Ashton Gate. Hence the big german coming in.
