Odemwingie

According to Sky, Peter Odemwingie is 3/1 to join Newcastle this month.

Would you be happy with this? In my opinion, this would be a perfect signing. We need a top-calibre RW or LW, such as Loic Remy (Marveaux and Ben Arfa have had their injury problems.) But, we also need another striker - we've needed another striker since Andy Carroll left. Now with Ba gone, we can thrust Cisse into the lone attacking role, but we need better than Shola as back-up, and Odemwingie, a pacy, clinical, proven finisher, would be perfect.

 

Decent enough player but at 31 a bit outside our preferred age group.

 

It won't happen but I'll be delighted.

Always been a big fan of Odemwingie, long before he joined West Brom. Couldn't understand why we didn't get him at the time, shame.

 

It's bullshit. He's only linked to us because we're after a striker.

 

I don't rate him.

 

He's better than Shola. Therefore I say I'd be moderately happy if we got him for chepa.

I'm not saying get rid of Shola, but Shola should only be used for a certain purpose and on certain days. As a target man or maybe to come on as a sub and use his strength against tired legs.

We need a good 3rd choice that can score goals and step into players shoes when one player gets injured.

If Cisse or our next quality striker gets injured, Shola would be next in line. Is that really what we want?

We need two quality striker, one canny good one, then Shola.

 

Danny Graham would walk over broken glass to play for us.

Seriously though the market is so ****e that a couple of quid will change the odds quite dramatically considering, it really means nothing at all IMO

 

Always quite liked Odemwinge, but he's too old for our criteria. Pardew has said that he needed to twist some arms to get Debuchy signed and so l cannot see the Board capitulating again.
That said, not what we need to replace Ba, but better than Stroller.

 

Too Old and dont see Danny Graham going any where if Swansea get in cup final.
