According to BBC 5 live he's been offered: * Increase x 3 in wage to 70k * Bonus if we stay up * Get out clause if we are relegated * Would be given a chance to play in his favoured position at centre He missed training today and yesterday and the rumour is that the other West Brom players are p*ssed off with him and will not welcome him back 5 Live speculation - if QPR offer £4m, WBA will probably sell
QPR Forum speculation. If we offer that much West Brom will hold out for £6m and we will as good as put up the sign. "Roll up, roll up. players wanted - anybody at all- top dollar paid." Is he worth it? Does he consider it worth it when he will soon know that one miss and he will be consigned to the ranks of the "overpaid mercenaries" we call all our favorite purchases over the last 18 months?
23k to 70k for a 32yo, are we mad? Offer them 2.5m and make it clear its the last offer and offer him 30k. Whoever is doing the negotiating needs to be sacked.
Good grief I totally agree with Flyer here Sorry but this player is not as good as some we already have IMO
Agree with Flyer here. They don't want him at the club now so make them sweat. Offer £2.5-3M and say take it or leave it. From what i read on the WBA board they all want him out.
Read somewhere that he is on £40k at West Brom, though that sounds like a lot for them. Don't like this fiasco, he's not worth it, forget him.
The way I look at it is hes created a Boswanka type situation where both them and us should do whatever it takes to get rid of them. Im sure wed quite happily let Boswanka go on a free and snap their hands off if someone offered £2m. Wait it out, WBA wont want to be stuck with him for another 5 months and his value will just go down and down.
Although I have heard Arry/TF/PH/AB say the figures that are branded are way off the mark. I would take with a large pinch.
Agree. As desperate as we are, I refuse to believe we would offer him $70k. We will better WBAs contract, but not the ridiculous amounts suggested in that article.
There'll be brinkmanship on behalf of both clubs i think. WBA will try to fleece us, whilst we'll know they're essentially obliged to sell him- considering the guy doesn't want to be there. I predict this goes through in the final hour of the transfer window.
Stan Collymore, on TS, making it loud and clear: TF is getting his pants yanked down by agents and footballers. If these figures are anywhere near true, for a 31yo, he's pretty much bang on!
