I read somewhere that the West Brom players bought him an Rs shirt with his name on the back, he's about as popular as the Plague up there...

How funny is that surely he will be on his way at the end of the season.

I feel a bit sorry for him tbh. He clearly was led to believe that the deal was very much on and that he should get himself close to Loftus Rd. The mistake he made was going to the ground and being spotted.

I hope we do not renew any interest in him.

Hes a bit of a nutter so would fit in well with this club. Id take him but it would have to be on less wages than hes getting now.

WBA should have just let him sign for us in January - all parties would have been better off, he would have strengthened our squad and maybe chalked up a few goals for us.

After that loss at Villa I still feel totally gutted and deflated - I always enjoyed the stress and anticipation of our games, always hoping for a positive outcome, watching other Premier League fixtures as a neutral, even our "old boys" playing in the Championship - now I just don't feel like watching anything.

Why does a massive setback like this always seem to happen just before an international break, giving us a couple of weeks to dwell on what might have been? Although by no means out of the fire (especially so after those Wigan & Saints results), a 3rd win on the trot would have been so uplifting going forward.

There is still a chance mate - 6 wins and I reckon we will stay up. With a bit of luck, playing at our best with Adel on song, and support giving 100% as on Saturday, we could win 6.

We could but its highly doubtful, surely even DT must give up if we lose to Wigan.

No way will we be winning 6...not going to happen in my opinion Os.

I can see us winning (likely) 2, (maybe) 3 or (unlikely) 4, but ultimately the damage has all been done earlier in the season. A few weeks back I was optimistic and whilst I still hold out some hope that the recent good form could be maintained, I do not realistically see where the wins are going to come from. We may grab some points, but not enough to overhaul those above us who already have the points on the board.

Hopefully the lads will prove me wrong!

Didn't say it is probable, but I think we been playing pretty well, and could improve if Harry uses Adel either as a False 9 or in midfield instead of Park, and of course Adel plays at his best. Fulham A, Wigan H, Stoke H, Reading A, Arsenal H, and Newcastle H are all very winnable remembering we did Arsenal last year, and I'm not including Everton A where we won with a depleted Championship team last season. Still hope!

I think the important thing for you guys is IF you go down, can you bounce straight up? With the squad you have you'd be favourites I would expect..

Youd think that but then look at Bolton, Wolves, Blackburn etc. Its not guaranteed that we would even reach the playoffs but Id hope we keep the core of the team for at least one season.

This will not be anything like the squad we will have next year Rytertie.
At least 5 of the regulars will be gone and I think it will be more.

Wolves and Bolton didnt have the investment or as strong squad(on paper at least) as you do though. Blackburn have just been incredibly badly mismanaged. If you can hold on to your core players and add wisely in the summer for that level I'm sure you will be fine. Redknapp is an experienced manager.

Look at it positively, when Newcastle went down (more similar to your squad) they went up again at a canter and were better for it. Likewise, Norwich getting relegated to league 1 was best thing that could of happened to them. All depends on TF's commitment and whether you can hold on to some of your players/manager which by the looks of TF statemnt on your other thread shouldnt be a problem. Good luck anyway <ok>

It will be very interesting IF we go down to see who stays and who goes with regard to players and management.
