So Grayson signs another loan player and sticks him straight in the team - didn't he only meet the players for the first time on Friday?? What ever happened to earning your place in the team?? O'Dea was constantly out of position (having said that the whole team were awful yesterday) but may be better when he knows the players and system better but if I was Parker I would be a little p*ssed off!!
He had a shocker to be fair..... we just cant sign left backs.... He amde Beesone look good its funning that we got rid of Harding and he looked half decent yesterday.....
i would've prefferd parker there, bessone, bromby, white, lees and bruce. but at the moment it does seem a little cursed, get harte back!!
o'dea wasn't awful... he's a centre back asked to play left back. Defensively he was ok, going forward he looked like a centre back. Funny that. It's the guy that picked him that worries me. But those hanging their hopes on parker, have very short memories. We need to sign a championship standard left back desperately because we have nothing at the club that comes close to resembling that.
I agree with Milky. I don't think O'Dea had that bad a game. As Milky has said, O'Dea is mainly a CB. Part of the problem yesterday was OB going walkabout. Perhaps next week if O'dea, Lees, or Bromby replace OB, & then Parker plays at LB.
Ipswich fan here. So you guys have been treated to what O'dea is like at Left Back. Don't worry, he's equally good at CB. You have that to very much look forwards to !!!!
Scrap left back and right back, we leak goals like a burst water pipe, might as well play 3 center backs, 5 in the middle and two up front and try and win 4-3..... Yes I am joking but after watching yesterdays match it looked like we were playing Kisnorbo at the back on his own.
O'Dea isnt a left back So why did Grayson not go looking for a natural left back? Why was White playing for a reserve team at 2pm?
sometimes last year we were awful defensively as a unit and individually, other times just individual mistakes killed us. Yesterday, it was individual mistakes that killed us.... it wasn't like we were being cut to ribbons at any point during the game. O'Brien had a personal nightmare. We had more possession and territory... frankly i was more worried by how toothless we looked going forward with the possession we had.
