The betting odds for Rovers promotion since the start of the season have lengthened from 10/3 to 8/1 and we have dropped from third/fourth favourites to 16th position.
It will be interesting to see how the punters bet if the current improvement in performances continues.

City are currently in 19th position for promotion at 25/1. They have moved up from 21/22nd position at the start of the season.

good time to bet on rovers then (if whoever is doing the betting believes it will happen of course)

im expecting a change in our fortunes. i said all along game 8/9 will see a big change. bad pre season, bad injuries, bad mistakes by MM, baldvinsson leaving as soon as he arrived and inexperienced keeper, slow unfit defence, weak midfield and no front line has all meant we are way behind and i have said this time and time again. but if players can come back from injury and gain fitness and recruit strikers then around game 8/9 will see us improve. i was right.

I think you are probably right CJS. The bookies are clearly not so sure about their ground in League Two and have kept the odds fairly conservative.
The Rovers only need a couple of good results to get themselves connected to the group who are mid position of the table.
If we can keep the same squad together for a few matches then I feel we could be better placed quite soon.
If there were to be a sniff of success then the 'short term' imports may feel they would prefer to stay around for a bit longer as well!

It's very important that we get a good points return from our next two home games against Cheltenham and Northampton - that will move us up to mid-table territory with a game in hand. We will then become a decent bet....

With Virgo back in the centre, I think we will be lucky to get a single point out of our next two games :(
