I wonder how he's feeling inside right now..I'd imagine rather sick to his stomach.

Villa (and Blackburn) are not exactly known for making knee-jerk reaction sackings.
I'm surprised at what's happening at Villa. I thought Lambert had turned the corner there end of November. Seems defence is Lambert's managerial blind spot.

Until today I considered that the Anfield result cancelled out the 8-0 and 0-4 results. But 0-3 to Wigan is an absolute shocker. He seemed pretty stunned in the post match interview.Puts our3-4 to Ci£y into perspective.

I don't think a reported "swoop" for our Morison in January is going to be the priority fix he needs at the moment.

Please stop these Lambert threads. His the past, foget about him, and to think I was accused of being obsessed with QPR after one thread!

I know what Wonky means, but it is difficult not to be interested in Lambert's likely demise. It reinforces my view that the best thing that ever happened to Lambert, talented as he undoubtedly is, was Norwich City Football Club, and those elements which brought him success, and built his reputation are still here. I'm looking forward to watching on MOTD the contrast in the responses to going two goals down in the games today.

Whatever! But if people have a go at me for writing one thread about QPR, and then there are loads about Lambert it's a bit hypocritical, and annoying!

I do get the interest in Lambert, gg! Much nicer than irdan! I understand the interest in Lambert. But I'm sure you would understand with being a bit annoyed about people having a go at you about this!

I would have no problem with people talking about Lambert, not that I do usually, unless people moan at me for talking about QPR.

The travails of Lambert and QPR are both of interest because they are potential rivals.Unless we are to have no go areas on here.

There are NO footballing no-go areas on here and wonky would do well to remember that I defended him on the QPR thread, pointing out that it's a football forum, where all aspects of the game can be discussed! I agree, however, that Irdan could have been more diplomatic!

i agree wonky. i feel the lambert saga is a lot like a ex girlfriend spat.

I have girlfriends who i've loved leave me and go of with a new guy, and for a good while all i've wished is that it doesn't work for them and that i move on better than they do. But whenever they have ended up with a failed new relationship, and miserable, all the anger i felt to them quickly dissipates and is replaced by sympathy and pity. The reason i wanted them to fail was purely because my happiness was threatened by their rejection, and the fact that my self worth was still influenced by them. The moment i realise i'm strong without them the defensive need for them to fail is gone, and i can remember that, objectively we had great times, and they were great, and its not happiness i feel at their failure but sadness.

So yeah. Long winded and a bit emotive, but on a lesser intensity, thats how i feel about lambert these days.

Cheers Dave. <ok> as I mentioned in my edited post I've no problem with the Lambert threads, but when there are many of them when I've been moaned at for bringing up a thread about QPR it's pretty unfair.

I'm only complaining about the Lambert threads just to make a point about people moaning at me!

Fans walking out after 56 minutes tells a tale. I can't remember seeing that before.

That's too early. It's not like they were losing 7-0. In our game a few people were walking out at 88 minutes, but I felt that there was at least a small chance we could have got a fourth goal, very annoying when it appeared to be a close game!

I probably took a more philosophical view of Lambert's exit than most.I just think he did a lot for us and we did for him in return.I have never gloated over his failure at Villa and I suppose if they stay up it won't actually be failure.
