Well eight points from the first two months, six games gone, very pleased with that total. We are working so hard to achieve these points, and long may the spirit prevail. October brings us three more games,, two from our sector and away to the mighty Chelsea. What can we hope for...six points maybe? How about: Cardiff 1 Newcastle 0 Chelsea 2 Cardiff 0 Norwich 1 Cardiff 2 Then a game against the swans at home, so it would've good if we were still above them. So far every eventuality has been achieved, home win, defeat and draw, and the same away, but no red cards yet and no penalties...will we ever get one again? What'ya think?
I'm happy with the start we've made and would be equally happy with your predictions for the next three games. Who knows, we might get a penalty sometime this season but not against any of the 'big' teams. Last Sunday proved once again that the top teams get nearly all the decisions given in their favour.
I'd take 4 points from October. 6 would be a fantastic return. That would give us 14 points from 9 fixtures which would be 'not in my wildest dreams' material!! Itll be interesting to see how our first away trip to one of the 'big boys' goes. I think we've got the defence to get something at one of them, probably not Chelsea though. Maybe old Trafford now they're rubbish........
I'm sure we'll take a beating at some pont during the season, but at the moment, the defence (and I don't mean just the back 5) looks solid. We've ridden our luck, but apart from WH we've looked solid. we should be capable of winning at least one from Newcastle and Norwich with anything over 3 points a bonus.
There is a chance of a point for sure but very little of all three. Other than the top 6 & Villa, teams do not normally go away with anything more than just the one. In most cases none
We rarely get much at Carrow Road, time to change that this season. Just watched a very poor game between Stoke and Norwich.
Jon Parkin scored one of the best City goals of all time the last time we played them there, 1-1! Took a mild fancy to Delia I recall and she to me!
I've always thought Norwich to be a very decent side through the years, but this afternoon, Stoke made them look like Barcelona. If Hughes pulls that rabble together, he'll survive, but I wouldn't mind betting they'll rue the day they got rid of Pulis - they looked clueless.
