Say in a parallel universe you beat sunderland 9-0 and city beat qpr 1-0 - you are level on points, goals scored and goals against.

Would City win the league because of their head to head record? Or would there be some other coefficient?

If we did that we'd win on goals scored. That's the third factor if points and GD are level

Oops - embarrassing - turns out you wouldnt be level on goals scored and goals against as you have conceded more than them...

But the question still stands I guess - what is the next determining factor after goals scored and against?

    United would win it.

If we had both scored and conceded the same number then a play off would decide the league winners.

I remember it being said in the championship a few weeks ago there could have ended up being a play off to get 6th. Dont know if that because their head to head was equal though.
