we are certainly no more obsessed with him than he is with us. mind games in my opinion, and not a very good mind game. i stated on a different post that he is trying to stoke the fires, he wants us to react to him - its what he wants. don't give it to him.

So lambert is obsessed with Norwich, trying to wind our players up... these are still mostly his players he signed for amongst other things.... their temperament. If he keeps saying things he will make them play better.... go on Holty score a hat trick from the bench!

Hmmmmm, methinks he might be a little more obsessed with us than us he? I'm pretty sure the vast majority of us now couldn't give a **** what he does and are too busy enjoying the fact we now have a team/squad far, far better and more organised than anything we did when he was at the helm <ok>

I just hope we ignore him tomorrow and focus all our attention on our new King until we go 3-0 up and then give him a bit of piss-taking stick <ok>

One thing that does worry me slightly about the game is that Darren Bent will surely start and no doubt he'll be champing at the bit to do well, especially against us so I just hope the bastard doesn't score!

I don't think he is being overly controversial - he will divide opinion. Some will remember him taking us from L1 to the PL and be grateful. Some will think him a traitor and hate him for the way he left and the fact that he is suing the club for orchestrating his move to Villa. The former will show him respect and the latter will throw abuse at him and probably most people will feel both appreciation and regret at what he achieved and how he left.

I have to agree with KIO - I will love it when we roll them over tomorrow night but I hope that the "Lambert, what's the score?" and "it could have been you" chants start only when we have finished them off.

I know that the league is the priority but I hope we put out a decent side and do everything we can to get to the semi's as it has been a long time since we had a decent cup run.

    Just a question.

Who was the last returning manager to turn us over?

But they aren't really are they? On saturday it was only Martin, Johnson, Howson and Pilks of 'his' players who started and the week before it was only Johnson and Pilks. Don't forget Holt and Wes were already here when he came along and I'm sure if we voted on the player of the season this week the top three would be between Bassong, Garrido, Tettey, Wes and Snodgrass, none of whom were signed by Lambert.

Anyone else find his article hilarious by the way?

I would agree that the best response is ignore him and support the team, but just wonder if some anti Lmabert sentiment interspersed with support for Kris Hewton might help us, more that it fires him up.

Not interested in Lambert, to be honest with you if I was there for the game I probably won't do anything when his name is announced I'd just ignore him stone cold silence is better then hearing boo's as he'll thrive on that.

The media seem to think we all have an obsession about him but he was yesterday's news to me. See you in court Paul!

I really hope the reaction is exactly the same as it was when we played Villa away in the league - we totally ignore him and sing 'There's only one Chrissy Hughton!'

If Lambert continues like this he'll just anger the Holt-a-tron into scoring more goals than usual. He's treading on thin ice...

I did suggest many moons ago that our game with Villa could be the nail in his managerial coffin if we trounced them.. Karma.

But separately, it isn't about him, it's about us getting to the semi's and creating a memorable atmosphere...

    "Chris Hughton's green yellow army"....!!!!

Lambert is a happy, but distant memory.

Hughton is the king now, and long may he reign.

It wasn't until I saw that BBC headline 'quoting' Lambert that I realised (to my surprise) that I don't care about him, or his return to Carrow Road.
He's a former employee, no more, no less. Anything else going on is for the club to handle.

If I met him, I'd gladly shake his hand and I'll always rave about the job he did here. But in the 'football arena', I feel nothing. He's past tense, no reason to cheer, no reason to boo.

I have set out my views on Paul Lambert many times. I admire the man and he will always have my gratitude as, in my opinion, he saved our Club from disaster. I want City to win but if Villa win I hope they go on and win the Cup. I would like to see him turn Villa round in the next couple of seasons, but not at our expense, and I think he will. I hope he then gets one of the top jobs that he has quite clearly set his sights on. Having said all that, he is a glorious episode in our history and our present and future is Chris Hughton for whom I also have great admiration and whose ability as a Manager will be there for all to see if he keeps us in the Premiership this year.
