Living in London I don't get to that many home games at the KC, so I thought Saturday was a fabulous day: 1. City were like Barcelona on Saturday, I've never seen them maul a team like that in the first half. I loved it when the 'Mauled' song came out! 2. George Boyd was awesome, but so were the rest of the team (apart from the 10 minute lapse around when DM was subbed). Nice article on the Daily Telegraph site earlier: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...-Crystal-Palace-in-key-Championship-game.html 3. The atmosphere was great, much better than previous home games, but then I guess the score, performance and sunshine helped. The George Boyd song was funny. 4. So glad that we didn't get that muppet DJ. 5. Apparently Gedo got married last Thursday, so maybe this added to him being up for it?!! - Didn't Elmo get married a few weeks ago, does this improve performance? 6. Shame only 17,100 at the KC to witness this football. I know there is a recession on, but the ticket pricing is getting better and this could be our best ever season for good football. 7. Roll on Selhurst Park, got my ticket and excited already!! Spring is coming, glorious sunshine down here in London. 8. Safe trip to all coming down. UTT!!
It seemed to me like we weren't even trying. The football wasn't even that brilliant, we just happened to playing an unbelievably bad opponent. We should have had at least eight goals though I can't say I agree about 'mauled' getting an airing either!
I was more than pleased with our first five-goal haul in a home game for five years. I was a bit peeved at the two conceded though, but no worries
