A few observations from yesterday's game: 1. The Tiger Nation were in fine voice, particular mention for the Paul McShane song (- btw, what are the words for the Tiger Cola song from the Orient game?); 2. A mention for McShane, played his heart out and give his all, MOM for second match running, if only his header had gone in. 3. Strange substitutions, I thought our attacking presence diminished after Simpson and Koren went off, but in Bruce we trust (and I didn't at first) but I am coming round and hope he sees us through a cold January; 4. If only Fryatt was back (any update on his progress/), he'd be pushing well into double figures; 5. I'd like to know how much scouting was done on Nick P, I really hope he comes good, maybe with Aluko up front they may gel; and 6. Nice of Peterborough's announcer to acknowledge City's fans. Anyway still third, emergency loans to come and City remain well placed. UTT !
Dreadful substitutions. Nice to hear some of the older chants make a comeback too. I did regret not starting a round of 'and here's to you, Stuart Elliott' though
Yes the fans what went SB said were brilliant and i take my hat off to them. We are still 3rd but not in a great run of form, 2 points from 9 since January 1st is not good form and to think how well we were playing, at times we were not just beating teams but destroying them with great football. At times like these when you lose a bit of form the main thing is to keep things tight which we don't seem to do, could you imagine Cardiff or Leicester letting three goals in at home. I remember the season we got promotion from Division 1 for most games we were the better team but on the occasions we were not we kept it tight and up popped Elliot with a goal, that was the difference. What we have got to do now is get that form back, I wonder if SB will play is full team in the cup next week? I noticed on other websites other teams are writing us off and yes the next two games are difficult, Millwall and Brighton away but there is still a long way to go, hopefully we will have a new striker and you never know Elmo may come back, the next win is vital get one quickly and you never know this team is good enough to go on another run again, lets hope so
I haven't been to an away game in a while, but I thought the atmosphere was fantastic yesterday until they scored. The Stockdale, Proschwitz and McShane chants were class.
