Now before i get too my main point, i would just like to state in NO way is this an attack on Tony Pulis or Stoke City. What this guy has done for this club since his re-appointment, is basically out of this world, 4th year in the prem & our first ever FA Cup Final. ( Bloody hell, wish me dad was still alive, he died 2 months before we got promotion to the Prem ), Any ways i'm sidetracking now. Right to my main point: Observation About Last Night ( Yes i am probably being picky ) But do you guy's & gal's think that Tony needs too spend in the summer? My observation was not the first 11, but what was available on the bench. Collins, Faye, Pugh, Diao & Carew (plus whitehead & Sorro, who i think are good enough). Do you think that our bench needs strengthening, with better quality players, especially if we do qualify for Europe? Now with a couple of injuries to our Major players, i really do not feel that the players that will step up to the first 11 have the quality. We have no back up wingers, we either shove delap or whitehead out there, & apart from Carew we reallistically have no other strikers( so god forbid 1 of them gets injured ). Like i stated, this is no way a dig, i would just like other Stokies views on whether our bench has enough quality, or will Tony sign some Players in the summer? Thoughts most welcome
I agree, the squad needs to be strengthened, and I think Pulis realises this, as he has hinted at big changes in the summer. Carew, I wouldn't mind if he comes but at the same time I wouldn't be bothered if he didn't come. I like Collins but I don't like him as back up for left back, Faye is certain to go, Pugh might go as well. I reckon we'll be spending big in the summer, especially if we get into Europe.
Agreed, we need back up wingers, another striker, and one more, depending what position ends up being Wilson's main place. He's done well wherever he's bee played.
Good article mate I'f say Sorro and Whitehead are defo goo enough, they're the best on the bench. However, Collins and Diao, no. Just no. Diao needs to go into coaching asap, and Collins not doing it for me.
