Oh no, heard Bates actually considered the idea of AOB with Redders as his assistant, seeing him as another Southgate. What? Why have we heard nothing at all about candidates being interviewed or considered? With Bates in Monaco is he even interviewing anyone, or has he left it to that genius Harvey? There are good candidates out there, so whay the deafening silence? The only one who won't come to Leeds is Curbishley as he feels he is a Prem manager and refuses to manage in the Championship - arrogant ****. We can only but hope and pray Bates gets this appointment right. It was easier in Lge One to appoint someone like Grayson, but this is the real deal now, and Bates has his one final chance to prove his ambition to us.
Warnock who has now agreed his severence with QPR is now being linked with the 'udders' job !!! We're missing out on the best candidates who I bet we haven't even contacted yet. Depressing : (
Curbishley's got a very high opinion of himself, wouldn't want him anyway. If we were to go down the route of appointing players as manager we could do worse than Michael Brown with Kisnorbo as his assistant. Anyway I'm hoping the lack of information coming out of Elland Road is because we're waiting for Warnock to sort his finance out with QPR and that it's already been agreed he'll take over.
We're waiting for information to come out because they are keeping their business behind closed doors, which is what Leeds United always do when they are up to something they know we won't be happy about.
Depression, wasn't it Leeds-18? Anyway, not anyone could be a manager. To consider any of our current players would be a disaster. Lets get someone proven in FFS.
It was depression, but I'm going to push the boat out a bit and say that if he's not in a fit mental state to work, he doesn't need to be taking ridiculous amounts of money out of the club when he's already a very wealthy man. Especially when he showed he was capable of performing at Leicester despite his illness. I'm not saying depressives don't need support and sympathy, but no other business would be expected to pay a bloke 8k (or whatever) a week for doing **** all and being depressed. I know people with depression who work their arses off day in, day out. They wouldn't dream of turning up to the odd staff party and then ****ing off from the office after they'd picked up their paycheck.
I just hope we are not being mislead by the 'depression' issue. While I do feel sorry for anyone suffering from depression it cannot be classed as the same thing as someone feeling down, fed-up and suffering with low self esteem after getting dumped by their future wife. Sorry if it sounds harsh but I have a few doubts over this one. Anyway, if I went to another company tomorrow applying for a managers job and on my CV it said I was suffering from depression last month but I am over it now would I get the job? Would I hell....
