Just reading loads of crap about maybe Wenger will quit or get fired, does anyone else think this is ridiculous? If Arsenal win tonight they will be 5th only 2 points behind Spurs. Yes they've had bad results but apart from the top 3 no one has over 30 points.

    Load of bull.

He won't get sacked, if he goes it'll be of his own choice. He has too much control of the club to be kicked out.

He hasn't won anything for seven years, though he's regarded by their fans as their greatest ever manager, the ones I know would be happy to see him gone now.

If I was an Arsenal fan I'd be annoyed at their owners more than Wenger. They're one of the most profitable clubs in the country and yet they never give him enough money to improve his squad, they always lose their best players and replace them with someone from abroad who is a bit of a gamble. Generally those signings turn out well and they become the next big thing for them to sell to a club with ambition. If they gave him money to actually mould a decent squad a few years in a row I reckon they'd be ace.

A club like Arsenal, the success they had, and to me what sums up their situation is the fact they sold their main striker, top goalscorer whatever, to a team who SHOULD be their main rivals and who once were because they were competing for the title with, selling your main man to them? Kind of sums them up at the moment really and their attitude.

They've sold their best 2 players (Fabregas and Van Persie) and replaced them with cheaper options.

They've cut their cloth accordingly in anticipation of the Financial Fair Play rules.

    Good on them.

They're apparently going to try and sign Demba Ba in January.

I wonder what happened at Stoke, they were going to buy Demba Ba, but said for medical reasons they passed on it. He doesn't seemed to have any problems since then?

I think he failed a medical at Stoke just before he went to West Ham.

What a miss Pulis had there.

He failed a medical. As they're not run by the likes of Paul Duffen and Russell Bartlett, they opted not to sign him anyway.

With regards to Wenger, he has to go. They're an appalling team. I know one of their board members was saying the other week how they'll be in a very strong position when the financial fair play rules come in, as they'll have to make few changes to their transfer methods and wage budget in comparison to the Manchester clubs, etc. People try and defend him by saying he's lost van Persie, Fabregas, Nasri, Alex Song, etc, but ultimately they've left because they know they can win trophies elsewhere, and the reason they haven't done so at Arsenal is because of Wenger's refusal to address the issues they already had (such as not being able to defend and not having a goalkeeper).

I think the reason those players left is because the clubs they went to simply had more ambition. Not necessarily the manager's fault that he can't sign proven players?

He has been there so long he deserves to retire, I would be surprised if he left or was fired during the season.

Wenger wont quit and the Arsenal board wont sack him. He is making them far too much money.

As you say IF they and they should.....WIN @ Reading(down already imo) tonight then they are fifth. Its game on for that 4th spot still. imo.
