http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/26978690 Not so long ago we were being promoted together and battling it out for the League 1 title.. they won the title but we eclipsed that even.. then our paths diverged dramatically..
Can't say I'm pleased about that. If Luton were to disappear into a rather large sinkhole, I'd be more than pleased. As it is, some poor folks in the football league will have the misfortune of having Lutoners polluting their towns, probably accompanied by a customary EDL march. Let's hope they go straight back and then further down again.
Luton is a complete and utter ****-hole, they should be banned from the league, just so no poor bugger has to go there to support their team.
One saving grace Luton has is an aeroplane port So you can hastily get the f**k out of there Then again It takes about 5 hours to board a plane at that cesspit
Does anyone remember when we played them in Molby's first game in charge and they stuffed us 0-3 at BP in a promotion party for them? Oh how the laughed as their couple of thousand fans goaded us with "we'll never play you again". Little did we know how right they were....
In 2006, Luton finished above is in the Championship. In 2009, we were in the Prem and they were in the Conference. I've always thought of Luton as the "Burnley of the south", (the actual places, not the teams that is).
I'm certainly not happy they're back. As previously stated it's a ****hole, it also has a population that's crawling with ****house ****s. I'd rather have Cambridge back or even the Codheads before Luton Luton can get to ****.
Luton is, indeed, a racist hellhole, but there's no denying they were royally shafted by the FA over their points deduction. I wouldn't think we've got to worry about playing them for a while yet.
MIG ? Fiveways pubs 'the females may now leave the room' Lord Nelson at their place. Makes Shameless look like Chelsea. Horrible little racist (and not just white racism) town.
Luton is comfortably the worst away experience I've had (despite a cracking goal by Turner one year). Hope the twats go straight back down again.
I reference this on another thread, but Luton away in the FA Cup R2 was quality. We were massive outsiders: rock bottom of the league and they were top of League 1 (whatever it was called back then) and had just narrowly lost in a League Cup QF. Morley (cracking strike) and Dewhirst (I think) did the trick for us and it was the first time we’d reached R3 for a good few years. Remember us hanging on what seemed like ages in injury time.
I was really happy when Wimbledon and Newport came back up, both had to start from scratch after falling out the league. Wimbledon basically had their club taken from them. So I've kept an eye on them this season and they both look quite secure from falling back now.
Hate the ****ing place. **** ground. **** town. **** area. Hated their ****ing manager back then too, that scouse twat. If they won, it was against the odds and because they deserved it, if they lost it was the ref cheating or the other team cheating. Twat. Scouse twat in fact. Took my dad to the KC for the 2004 game for his 60th, we beat them 3-0, was unexpected and ****ing brilliant. Back where they belong my arse. I'd rather see Cambridge back in the league than them twats.
