I'm sure one just flew over, with two little planes, like Spitfires or Hurricanes in support. Go on lads, give the bosh hell. It'll be over by Christmas.
Mum and Dad are in North Lincs (Saltfleetby) and they were at an airfield on Tuesday. There was a Lancaster there which rev'd up and taxi'd, said it was an incredible sight and sound. Make of that what you will.
There's a big airshow in Sth Lincs next weekend. Cant remember where, someone at work is going. Supposed to be a really good day out.
There is a photo of the planes on the Radio Humberside Twitter page posted 15 minutes ago, wish I'd seen them

Yep - that was a Lancaster - it's for the Lord Mayor's show. http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull-Lord-Mayor-s-Parade-2014-hour-carnival-mark/story-21164901-detail/story.html

Took the family to Armed Forces Day in Scarborough last year. Red Arrows, Lancaster fly by and a Tornado display. The Tornado was deafening as it whizzed around the bay. Really good day out. I love owt like that.
Going slightly off topic, but staying with history... Exactly 100 years ago today, Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria was assassinated in Sarajevo by Gavrilo Princip, starting the First World War.
I saw the Red Arrows in Walton Club. didn't think much to them, too noisy and they delayed the bingo whilst all that smoke was cleared out of the room.
They're getting the last three remaining Lancaster bombers that work, to do a fly-by somewhere, one them is being flown over from Canada. There was something on the radio about it last week, they think it will be the last time ever that the three remaining planes will fly together.
