The Sopranos was a great series, on of the best things i've ever watched. James Gandolfini, a truly great actor. R.I.P.
Absolutely stunned. Loved the guy, loved the series. Sopranos, is up there for me with the Wire and Breaking Bad,
A real shock this. Soprano's is a favourite in our house. We're watching reruns at the moment. The real skill of this show was that the leading figures were human enough to allow the viewer to relate and even empathise with them but the makers of the show were quick to remind you of how horrible they really are, just at the point when you might start liking them. RIP Jim.
A tragic waste of great talent. Have enjoyed watching all his roles. He was spending quality time with his Son who had to witness his untimely death. RIP
Absolutely gutted, The Sopranos was my all time favourite series, and Big Tony was truly superb in it. I was really hoping that there would be another series of it at some point. RIP James Gandolfini, you will be sadly missed.

Really saddened about this. Truly great actor in the Sopranos. What presence. I really liked the film 'The Last Castle' too.
Dark days, Gandolfini was an exceptional actor. Sopranos was one of the greatest programmes on TV. RIP James Gandolfini. Tony Soprano sleeps with the fishes.
Great lines 'You know my feelings: Every day is a gift. It's just, does it have to be a pair of socks?' 'What kind of (expletive) human being am I, if my own mother wants me dead?' About his father: 'The belt was his favorite childhood development tool.' 'Nothing beats popping up some Orville Redenbachers and listening to `Men in Black.'' 'Nowadays, everybody's gotta go to shrinks and counselors, and go on `Sally Jessy Raphael' and talk about their problems. What happened to Gary Cooper? The strong, silent type.' 'I gotta be honest with you. I'm not getting any satisfaction from my work.' 'I'm like King Midas in reverse. Everything I touch turns to (expletive).' 'You got any idea what my life would be worth if certain people found out I checked into a laughing academy?' 'When you're married, you'll understand the importance of fresh produce.' 'It wasn't like it was friggin' Cobain. It was just a little suicidal gesture, that's all.'
Those scenes with Dr Melfi were just gold, some of the best acting ever- am going to have to get hold of the boxset again. The part with the ducks springs to mind too just tremendously believable acting- r.i.p
