Don't know if anyone's seen today's Hull Daily Mail, but if you haven't, The Warren Youth Resource Centre is on the verge of closure due to funding cuts from the HCC. The Warren is a place close to my heart as I volunteered there for close on 6 years and I've seen first hand how important this place is for the youth of the city. I really hope it doesn't close. I've also decided that if my team wins the sweepstakes then my share of the charity money will go towards the the warren.
I know someone who works at the Warren, 35k a year they're on, no bloody wonder they're running out of money.
The warren do fantastic work. It would be a great shame if it went under. But I also think the current location is a waste of a fine building. Would be ideal for a nice upmarket hotel and restaurant I reckon.
