More heartaches for relatives of Hull men lost on the FV 'Gaul', as the Russians announce the findings of human remains, close to where the ship disappeared in 1974: http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Rela...missing-crew/story-20306728-detail/story.html
Although the vessel was located eventually I believe the truth of what really happend, despite the official version, will always remain a mystery. My late father in law was on the Gaul's sister ship the Kurd before this tragedy and my wife and I went on board when he docked one time. A truely awsome vessle with all mod cons of the day, and yet no distress signal from the Gaul, RIP to those and all the fishermen who lost their lives in those times.
Remember this/these? http://www.bbc.co.uk/humber/content/articles/2008/01/24/trawler_tragedy_feature.shtml
Yes Stanley those are the tragedies I was alluding to and another trawler that actually sank in the Humber on its way home back in the 1950's I believe, Roderigo?
