I only have a short drive into work but the footie stories (rumours) being reported in the papers this morning were particularly good - maybe just the silly season who knows - but how many of these have any substance: 1) Sir Alex Ferguson to announce his retirement 2) Jose Mourinho about to snub Chelsea return and replace Sir Alex at Old Trafford 3) Wayne Rooney has apparently announced that he wants a summer transfer to Bayern Munich 4) Cristiano Ronaldo is on his way back to Man Utd (to link up with Mourinho?) 5) Athletico Madrid are about to launch a £40 million summer bid for Luis Suarez 6) Steve Bruce is looking to bring Jimmy Bullard out of retirement as Hull's first Premier league signing Bit of fun - what to people think? fact or fiction - predictions on how many will actually come true if any.

No - He was very dignified about his departure - did wonders for us on such a small budget, and will always get a good reception at The New Den. Maybe he's on his way to Leicester to get Chris Wood playing well again?

So if this is true why are you not disappoointed? This is not wumming but i was suprised that he left but my housemate made the point of what else could he achieve by staying there - doesnt look like promotion and relegation is not likely but possible

Apparently our Chairman has been overwhelmed with the quality and quantity of applicants. They have drawn up a shortlist and will start interviewing next week. Favourites at the moment (albeit from press sources so a load of bollox) are Owen Coyle, Tim Sherwood, Martin O'Neill. Out of the 3, I'd rather have Tim Sherwood as the other 2 have lost it
