I actually think the refereeing we've seen so far this season has been in a different class to that of last season.

That bloke is talking shyte about the standard of refereeing in the Prem. The fact is the players are far better at cheating and the referees are more adept at seeing it.

100% this. I can't think of anything major in our games thats bothered me, and my overall memory of this season so far is the refereeing has been of great quality. I especially liked the flagging for every shirt pull the other week.

We've even had a few decisions go for us for a change too. I hope it stays like it has been for us.

The reason why people think the refereeing is below par is because of the PL's coverage and the scrutiny every decision comes under. It has been a lot better, which is to be expected. The ref for Chelsea's game at the weekend was shocking though.

I agree with you. The Livermore handball and Nolan tackle against West Ham were probably wrong but you can understand why he got both of them wrong and in general the refs have been good and haven't affected games which is the main thing for me. The media focus on the big decisions but what really annoys me is when a ref completely takes over a game or allows a team to influence him and lets it spoil the match. There were a few games like that in the three years we spent in the Championship but this season I'd say the refs in our games have just let the game flow and made decisions only when they were needed. You can't expect them to get every decision right but the general attitude seems much better in the PL.

The reffing has been fine so far, but I recall it been shocking last time we were in the PL. Every big club seemed to have everything going their way against us. Hopefully, that has now changed.

Remember that Liverpool game last time we were in the PL? Plenty of others too. Genuinely been impressed with our refs so far, and PLTs comment about the media focus is spot on.

I still remember that game as I work with a few scousers. Disgraceful reffing, completely one sided and Stevie G could not possibly have fouled our players....
