Did it fail? Or was it just a cynical attempt to use the livlihoods of workers to boost their flagging readership. If BAE SYSTEMS had reversed their decision, I am sure the headlines would have read (words to the effect): "Hull Daily Mail Campaign Saves the Day" As it stands I wonder if it will now say: "Hull Daily Mail Fails!"?
