o/t testing FIFA 16 for EA

Downloading my copy now 6 weeks early (happy days), am required to submit feedback to EA so will try and get a few Hull City lads up a few points in the ratings, especially the likes of Clucas and Akpom. Anybody with any ideas for the game I can pass them on if relevant, the game is at its earliest beta so they can take on board any needed changes.

 

Am I the only person on here that's never seen any one of these football games other than on a box lid or advert?

To be fair, I did see a programme about two brothers that created one of these things and seemingly a lot of clubs use it as a tool, and pro zone have linked in with their stuff to create some super database.

It's just not something that ever appealed to me. I mean, they say it's like being a manager, but there's no cocaine, call girls or anything like it apparently.

 

That'll be Football Manager. They invented it as Championship Manager way back, somehow managed to sell the name but keep the rights to all the programme behind it. After a year or two they then relaunched it as Football Manager. Everton were one of the clubs that use it as part of their scouting process (I think it's a case of identifying the better players in a country before they go scouting so they know which to watch rather than it being in place of scouting).

FIFA you're controlling the players yourself though, it's more of a traditional kind of game. Football Manager you're taking on the role of the manager. I guess if it was Call of Duty it's the difference between controlling the guy with the gun and being the guy giving him instructions through his earpiece.

 

This gets worse.

I think I probably played the first ever football manager game back in 1982 on the Zx Spectrum so have always been at the forefront of this new-fangled technology!

Thanks for that! I had given up on it too to be honest. They told me to test the Seasons out so not sure how thats going to work, I hope they have updated the squads and so on too.

 

I've been asked to do pro clubs, not sure how many of the full game features will be available. I've seen some peoples beta downloads at 6gb and mines over 15gb so there must be different versions kicking about.
