Soldiers are pawns in politicians games , real men of honour controlled by egotistical fools with no courage or morals whatever party they come from. Ones heart goes out to all the soldiers sailors and airmen and their families long may they protect us to live our privileged lives lets appreciate their effort and sacrifice and try to live for others as well.

brilliant. as the father of a RAF Officer (girl) who is married to a Royal Logistics bomb disposal officer, both recently returned from Afghan, this resonates brilliantly to me.

Peace-keeping forces throughout the world do a marvellous job, and although they volunteered to take on the work they do, we sometimes forget the sacrifices they have to make - good poem.
