In the news today is slight uproar over the differences the men and women get in their respective tournies at this years T20 in Columbo .
Tournament winning for men is £616,000 as opposed to £40,000 for women .
I don't have a problem with that as that as the money is generated by the mens game only really .

The main uproar is over living allowance where the ment get almost double the women £61 vs £37 as a daily living allowance .
Obvious to all of us a meal and drink is the same for both men and women but somehow the ICC seem to distribute it differently .

I guess the men have to pay for the ingredients and get a woman to cook it , while the women just get on down to the kitchen and make it themselves !

Im quite surprised that the individual prizemoney for winning the T20 is so small (less than £50,000 each)

I heard that story on the radio myself today. Also stated that the male coaches on the woman's team get the £37 as well, so it's not about the size of the portions. So we have to conclude that one of the good old boys of the MCC have decided that womens cricket is considered to be a second class sport even though we live in this enlightened age of equality and fair shares for all.!

Its a well known fact that women only need half of what men need to eat.
.......though I do get a strange look in the chippy when I ask for one and a half fish and chips.
