http://www.thesportbible.com/articl...from-man-united-tie-for-their-paper-headlines Bayern Munich have banned both The Sun and The Daily Mirror from attending their Champions League return leg against Manchester United, after the tabloids printed disrespectful headlines about Bastian Schweinsteiger. Schweinsteiger scored the equaliser for Bayern Munich on Tuesday night but was sent off following a challenge on Wayne Rooney. The German will now miss the second leg of the Champions League quarter final in Munich next week. Both papers used "Schwein" puns in their headlines which translates to "pig" in German. The German club said the headlines were "disrespectful , discriminatory and personally insulting." A statement on the Bayern Munich website read: Especially in the Champions League where UEFA has organised a big campaign called 'RESPECT' where all players are required to wear that logo on their shirts. Due to breaching this agreement when four attendees at our game with Arsenal showed a disrespectful banner in the Allianz Arena, 700 fans will now be locked out (for the United game) and we were fined â¬10,000. We have accepted this. (Therefore) representatives of 'The Daily Mirror' and 'The Sun' will not be granted media accreditation at the Allianz Arena for the Manchester United match. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
