i got stopped by the feds the other night and given 3 points and a sixty quid fine and told to present my licence at my local station within 7 days.. as all my mates appear to be goody two shoes who that has never happended too, i was wondering if anybody knew if i had to do it myself or could i get a family member to take my licence in for me ? as ive got a busy week at work and am going to struggle to get there during the day and apparently my local station isnt manned during the night!..
I'm pretty sure you've got to do it yourself. You can do it at any police station though, it doesn't have to be the one you told them was your nearest.
Talking about Photo driving licences.....my daugher moved back home recently and realised that her Driving licence had just expired...the reminder had gone to an old address...she hadn't realised you need to renew every 10 years.....When did you last check yours!!!
You have to present it in person to any Police station. Its not actually 7 days either, it is within 5 working days but the weekends don't count, but the day you got stopped does. Word of advice photocopy both sides before you go.
if its any station then its not so bad , he just wrote a specific station on the ticket so i got the impression id have to go there..
60mph just past the BP flyover on Hedon Road, cant complain too much because i got stopped there just before xmas and let off with a warning... frustrates me that road tho, driving on it at night when theres nothing on the road its very hard to stick to 40..
