O/T Skype on windows 8

Just got a new PC and cannot get my Skype contacts on my Skype account .

The online help keeps sending me in circles.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Can you upload a screenshot?

This doesn't sound like a problem with the software or anything needing setting up, it sounds like you're struggling with the layout on Windows 8. I've never really used Skype, but if you stick a screenshot on here someone will be able to figure out what to do.

Windows 8 is a pile of plop! Try downloading Classic Shell and see how that works.....

OK onewaggy. WIN8 is shyte. I have it. (unless you have a touchscreen monitor its useless)
download a start button>> http://windows8startbutton.com/
http://www.skype.com/en/download-skype/skype-for-windows/downloading/ <then click here
and run it from your desktop.
simples.

 

Err they've updated it and it has a start button now. No need for any extra downloads.
