You could see the lads face, that really ****ing hurt, typical Rooney tried to get up and walk it off!

A mere flesh wound. A bit blue tack and tape sorted.

Cannot believe he didn't play on with that. Bally, Joe Bolton & John Kay wouldn't have even got the trainer on

PS, only kidding. A winced just looking at it.

As soon as I saw it I knew it was bad.
You could see the gash right into his muscle.

The BBC commentator. " That looks a nasty graze!" Wally!

According to todays papers it also sliced the bone, not a nice thing at all, for anybody.

Many years ago did similar damage in the same place to myself Bill.
I was using a large industrial hand grinder, the so called safety guard caught on the metal I was grinding threw the grinder and sliced into my thigh.

I was lucky my overalls took the brunt and the cut was cauterized by the hot blade about a half inch deep and three inches long.

But the bugger took months to heal.

I would be surprised if he is back fully fit before Xmas.

Awful freakish injury that I wouldnt wish on anyone and hopefully it will be okay but as for feeling sorry for Rooney? Not even a minute bit. I find him to be a thoroughly disagreeable ****er personally and have little goodwill towards him.

I think after that outburst against England fans at the World Cup in South Africa, that had witnessed him especially and the rest of the over rated tossers that play for England perform like a set of useless ****s, was the final straw for me with Rooney. He should have been apologising to them, not abusing them.

He is just a granny shagging scouse chav with no class and limited major tournament international ability. David Beckham he ain't and never will be, as Beckham had 10 times the class and the ability that Rooney will ever dream to have. I care very little when he actually gets back playing and look at it being someones opportunity to play well and keep the scouse tosser out of the England team tbh.

Not like you to hold back Cest, haven't seen it yet no doubt it'll be all over the press and telly tomorrow. Like you though not one of ours and so don't really give a toss.

Couldn't work out how modern boots could do such damage, but noticed Rooney had aluminium studs in his boots. Thought they had to have rounded ends and only be a certain length. Secondly, if he had gone in face on no contact would have been made - unlucky but avoidable.

John Kay was awesome canoeing off the pitch with a broken leg. That bloke has to be one of the hardest I've ever seen play for us.

Great bloke too as he managed the pub team I played for when I was a young'un
