Absolutely shocked and gutted by this news!

He gave us all some wonderful comical acting moments in all the roles he played.

    RIP

"If it's a girl they're gonna name it Sigourney, after the actress.

And if it's a boy they're gonna name him Rodney, after Dave."

    My personal Fav, RIP.

Whilst he was brilliant in ' In Only Fools ' I thought he absolutely stood out in Vicar of Dibley. Some of the things he came out with were so outrageously funny that I often thought - ' are you allowed to say that ' A nice bloke as well apparently and someone who actively campaigned for what he believed in.

I shall always remember him from a fishing trip to Cley.
A buddie and me were Mackerel fishing off the beach when this guy in a big flowing shirt, shorts hat & wicker picnic hamper just plonked himself down next to us.
He then strips off the shirt and hat and wades straight into the sea swimming right in front of where we are fishing.
Note we are hurling 5oz leads and a string of six feathered hooks out to sea.
My mate says "what idiot would do that"
Then as he strode out of the sea and back to his wife and now open picnic box, we recognized him.
We just looked at each other gob smacked, shook our heads & said in tandem " Trig"
    You had to be there.....
    Great loss.

Such sad news, this still makes me laugh like a drain even though I must have watched this a thousand times. The look on Trigger's face at the end is priceless ! <laugh>

    DEL BOY. We had Camaraderie

TRIGG Was he that Italian lad who played in Midfield!

    <laugh>

Genius writing by John Sullivan but these great actors including RLP brought it all to life! <ok>

They will both be sadly missed.

Trigger: And that's what I've done. Maintained it for 20 years. This old brooms had 17 new heads and 14 new handles in its time.
Sid: How the hell can it be the same bloody broom then?
Trigger Theres the picture. What more proof do you need?
