Well its alot closer to where he lives i guess. Hull fans diss the notion for here yet have a go Holloway gives it a go. Interesting if it happens.
If Robbie Fowler and Kevin Phillips played as a strike force together it would be the oldest every I think.
Not far off. Bet Hobbs and Chester are rubbing there hands at the thought. They wont be outdone for pace thats for sure. My guess is that both RF+KP would be used as impact subs.
He wont be. Age concern will be looking at Blackpool. They are becoming a Dads Army team. Gary Taylor-Fletcher, Kevin Phillips and possible Robbie Fowler. There is a thread already for this. MERGE REQUIRED.
Robbie Fowler is not League 2 standard now, reminds me of when the likes of Rush and Beardsley were trying to prolong their careers even when it was clear that they were shadows of their former selves.
part of me admires that tho, opposed to michael owen who sits at home tweeting, pretending to be part of a succesful team.
You dont half talk some bollocks Tickler. You were the one advocating signing Fowler on another thread. Kevin Phillips geriatric FFS i would snap their hands off to have him here, 11 goals this season.
Agree play until you cant physically play any more. Too many pro's retire early as they are so well off instead of dropping down a division or two and passing on some knowledge and giving a bit back.
He was on about Talksport on Twitter I was just on that site, apparently they were slagging him off, I'm guessing for sitting at home and tweeting? He reckons he never listens to it but has given 'many interviews' to them, probably in between his tweets I'm guessing whilst he's sitting at home.
I see hammill has signed for middleborough on loan for rest of season. Seems other sides striving for play offs are making signings what are we doing. Sweet FA
I noticed the other day, that though Owen has only played four times this season(Champions League, Premier League and two Carling Cup games), he's still scored three goals. If he ever gets bored of tweeting, he could always come on loan to us.
But Boothferry does he care about wasting his talent when he's earned however many millions and will probablt waltz into a well paid media/management job when he retires.
exactly, thats whats so frustrating about him ...fowler is one of the richest footballers around, and doesnt need to tarnish his memory running around like a carthorse, but he loves playing football and i admire him and others for doing so.
