Captain Blackadder: Flasheart, this is Captain Darling.
Lord Flasheart: Captain Darling? Funny name for a guy isn't it? Last person I called darling was pregnant twenty seconds later.

It gives me a great excuse (not that I need one!) to dust down my Bottom collection!

Also there's filthy rich & catflap

Absolutely gutted by this Rik and Ade are absolute legends, he'll be sorely missed.

Even more gutted they didn't do that new Bottom tour they were talking about a few years ago.

    Yeah too right!

My favourite episode of Bottom just has to be the Gas Man! Loads of gratuitous violence!

Fecking laugh out loud funny Brilliant!

Properly gutted by this. For me Bottom has to be the best comedy of all time. Saw it live in Ipswich and was in pain with laughter.

Goes without saying this guy was a class a comedy legend
Sad news - I watched him fairly recently in "man down" with Greg Davies

Didn't watch the new statesman but his appearances in black adder, and of course lead in bottom, filthy rich and catflap and the young ones were defining in my teens / early adulthood

    Brilliant, absolutely brilliant.

Terrible, terrible news, the man was a comedic genius and one of the funniest people of the past thirty years. Thankfully his body of work will live on forever.

    RIP Rik <rose>

'Crass' just about typifies Daily Fail readership mentality. If it had been 17th in line to the frickin' throne who'd passed, there'd have been a 28 page pull-out supplement, ffs <doh>

(Sorry Mum, I know it's your poisonous rag of choice X)

That is one of the ignorant, and vile things I have ever read, dear me. I would never usually wish ill on another person, but I have to say I hope that R.J. Hey of Chester suffers some tragic news to either themselves or someone they care about some time soon.
