Not only do they want compo for the Aluko deal, they just think they have a god given right to be in the top scottish division.
Rangers are threatening to leave Scottish football if the proposed league changes happen in the summer and they remain in the new bottom tier. His plan falls apart slightly, as there's no other league for them to join instead... http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/jan/09/rangers-leave-scottish-football-charles-green
Can't understand any hostility to Rangers from within or outside Scottish football, a great club with great Loyal support, 49,000 in the Scottish 3rd division is magnificent support, they'll be back.
Rangers don't technically exist anymore so they should just get over it and work their way back up the leagues like any other club would have to.
They dont have a cat in hells chance of getting a penny from us. Charles Green knows it. He should just accept whats happened and move on. It shall be less painful for him. I actually agree with Rangers. The new proposed scottish setup is a joke. Even more so when they divide up the top 24 teams into 3 lots of 8. Crazy. R.I.P. Scottish football.
What league do they think they can join though? I think they expect to go straight into the EPL cos they're a 'big club'
All they are trying to do is come up with some format they hope will keep the likes of Sky interested to buy their games. The general standard of football is ****e, and I don't even watch it anymore. Rangers if they are not careful will be left with joining the highland league, as I am sure south of the border no one will want them.
They would buy someone like Carlisle and take their place in the English league. Can someone explain why Scottish teams cant play the English leagues, but Welsh can?
Agreed. How many other clubs have support that holds up that well if relegated one level, let alone three? Most supporters, ours included unfortunately, have a percentage of people who say " I aren't going" if they go down.
the rangers don't even have a full membership to the league they're in because they were given special dispensation to access the league. They didn't have 3 years audited accounts, which is a rule of entry. They are indeed a brand new club, with a nut job as a CEO.
They can't quit their league, there's no where else for them to play. Their CEO is a nob, spouting utter ****e and making himself look like a bigger nob, its all bluff and bollocks. If they were still in the SPL they'd be MORE than happy for the proposed changes to the leagues. Between them and Celtic, they've ruined Scottish football by buying then either benching or loaning out (of the country) any decent players any other teams had the audacity to buy/bring on If they managed to get into the English leagues, despite their awesome support (which didn't stop them going bankrupt) they'd up like TWS, a mid table championship side bleating on about the past. It's Karma, its just a shame the other ****ers in Glasgow didn't join them.
