Chelsea fans have been twats to him all season, and he doesn't slag them off in the media, he wins them a trophy and leaves with diginity in tact. Fair play to him. Chelsea fans can **** off though.
A friend of mine who is a STH at Stamford Bridge reckons the minority have had the louder voice all season. It's a bit unfair to tarnish them all with the same brush. But i'd like to see the opinions of those who booed him now.
I thought Everton too. He didn't turn it down either when asked, he basically said he'd love to without saying he'd love to.
All the Chelsea fans I know have also said its a vocal minority that gets all the press. The majority have supported Rafa, and will be sorry to see him go because he's obviously a good manager.
I've always thought rafa was a piece of **** until this season, he did a bloody good job for Chelsea. Could have done betterer in the league though.
Some of their fans should hang their ****ing heads in shame....fair play to Rafa, he kept his dignity
He's also now favourite for the Napoli job after Walter Mazzarri resigned yesterday after securing 2nd. I always hated Rafa after what he did at Inter - forcing players to take down photos in the dressing room of their Champions League win and the like - but he's done very well at Chelsea. He was probably the nicest of all the managers I met on the last Prem adventure too, but perhaps that was cos it was his last game and he was relaxed.
He has a house in Liverpool, and his family and kids are happy here. He'd put this before a job abroad, I'm sure. With Rafa, it is more about being close to home again. I'm guessing Everton would appeal more than the more lucrative PSG option. ...Although on that amount of cash he could manage the relatively short flights home!
