For me it was always in Beverley.

Start off in Rose and Crown, the off down Hengate to Nellies, continue round the back and down Ladygate to The Push swiftly followed by the Green Dragon and the Kings Head in Saturday Market. Then down Toll Gavel to the Angel and the Queens Head, continuing on down Eastgate and ending up in The Sun as the terminus.

Nice gallon, kebab and taxi home for sleep!!

You did too much crawling, I just used to do Shire Horse, Bass House and Cheese.

Then later switched to Polar Bear and New York, ahead of going to Spiders, Welly or Silhouette.

Never drank in the central pubs, unless there was a gig at the City Hall.

Always in Old Town, the usual suspects. Remember Shapes Wine bar near Waterfront?

Last pub drink would either be in White Hart or Queens, then over the bridge to Spiders every Fri/Sat night. Only went to Silhouette during the week, unless it was a Party.(I had a mate who lived in the flats above, which was convienient)

I used to go in Shapes all the time, I used to work for Andy who owned it, he owned a load of student flats off Spring Bank that I used to help maintain(badly).

Well, you're part right OLM - there's the Eagle on Coltman Street corner. However, the one I mean is the one that was a Hull Brewery pub and became the Tap & Spile. (Corner of poss. West Parade?)

City's new town pubs were Shire, Bass House, Centre Bar, White Horse and New York, 80's mention also goes to Masters Bar, Stonehouse and Scribes and Romeos for the minge.

Lived in Leicester Street in the 70's - used to drink in Little Wlly (Peel Street/Welly Lane corner). Then - on a 'big night out' - Eagle and Polar Bear. Then White Rose for fish-and-chips on the way home.

Saturday lunchtime - two little pubs opposite the Cenotaph in Paragon Square....

One was the Talbot, but the other? The Sandringham rings a (muffled) bell?

The Quayside used to have Tap rooms, before it was opened up as it is today. This was our meeting place. we would play drinking games (Zip Boing, being a favourite) to for a laugh, and generally to get drunk quicker. I remember the bar behind it , you could access it through the back of the Quayside, but don't recall it's name, so you could be right.

I stayed over in Hull last Sunday night at my brothers. We nipped out for a pint to the Victoria Dock Tavern and fell out at 12.30. It was bloody heaving, with an artist on. What an unexpectly great night we had.
