Alright lads & lasses? Having a bit of bother with my pc. When I watch tube videos in normal size everything is fine but when I go to full screen it starts playing all jerky like one of those crap webcams. Have done anti virus & advanced system care scans but to no avail. Anybody got any ideas? Any help will be appreciated.
Could be a few things mate memory full of temp Internet files or possibly download speed is low, probably a mix of the two at a guess.
You need a fast connection for videos to play smoothly in full screen with youtube if they are high quality, watch for the circle and bar, pause the youtube video and wait for the bar to overlap the circle, that will tell you how fast the video is loading. Also download crapcleaner, i always use that program first to clean the system of crap before I check for other issues.
I'm no techno-geek but what i do know is that there are a few mitigating factors that would not allow you to watch videos in high quality. I always check my download/upload speed through this website http://www.broadbandspeedchecker.co.uk/ . If its ****e, ie below 4mb sec then i reboot my wireless router (i turn it off then leave for a few minutes). I then recheck the speed. The website also shows different speeds within yr area. Hope this helps mate.
Cheers lads. My dowload speed is rubbish, 3.0. Thing is though, I've only been having this problem over the last 2 or 3 weeks, it was fine before that.
Could be your isp, sometimes i cant watch any video online as its so slow, then off peak times it flys, some ips cap limits and cause problems so maybe you should contact them
do you have the up to date version of Adobe's Flash Player? as this can give problems as you mentioned especially with youtube http://support.google.com/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=56115
Billy a lot of vids on You Tube are now in HD, this can make your graphic card struggle if it isn't up to handling it. So the actual quality of the vid will impact on how fast it streams to you as well. Clear out your cache as well, download CCleaner it's free and run it, (You don't need to change any settings on it.) you may be surprised what it cleans out. Put it on my mates the other day and he had over 1.5 Gb of **** sitting taking up space. Oh and defrag your hard drive over night after you have run the cleaner. 3 Mb? My mobile phone internet is faster than that mate! I complained the other day as I was only getting 65 Mb on my broadband.
Sorry for bumping this lads but I've just tried playing videos/streams with IE & they work fine. So it's obviously a problem with Chrome. Any ideas now?
