For people over in the states and fans of Paul Weller. He's playing The Bestbuy Theatre, Broadway NYC on 18th-19th May. Tickets are only $55.
I was about to book and then remembered it's the playoffs final weekend at Wembley and I have promised myself to be there having missed the Bristol City game. Hopefully we will gain automatic promotion and I can still go to New York.
Just checked Virgin and flights home are very expensive that weekend. Not sure why.

Weller is at a festival at Jodrell Bank in Cheshire on weekend of 23 June apparently. I think Elbow are playing as well

I checked his website and he's playing in London this month. Unfortunately I can't make the UK gig due to work but it would great to see a true legend again. Saw the Jam in the early 80's in Finsbury Park. It was magic.

I saw Weller at Hull City Hall in the early 90's.

That was the days of the Paul Weller Movement and to be honest if I had to describe the gig I would have to say it was Jodrell.

A bit of the old cockney rhyming slang for you there.

    I've drank too much.

Medically trained of not it sounds like good advice to me.
Advice which I fully intend to take on board.

'Beer is for breakfast, drink or be gone'.

Great quote from a **** film.

All flights have gone up this year, it's way more expensive now than it's ever been before. I've been trying to book a flight to Hong Kong, leaving the day after the Leicester game and returning in time for the Coventry game, but with BA it's £4,390 for club and £1,903 for economy. It drops to £3,400/£1,000 if I fly back a day later and miss the Coventry game, but it's still ridiculous, I can normally get a club ticket for just over £2,000, or an economy ticket for less than £800. I'm looking at flights with Air New Zealand, but they're still expensive and the flight times are ****, there's only BA or Virgin that always fly overnight.
