The lack of Del Piero, Zanetti, Totti and Baggio is ridiculous IMO.

Though he does support Sheff Utd, so he's clearly not all there mentally.

Hmm. No Zanetti at RB? No Platini anywhere?

Gullit and Rijkaard also unlucky to miss out. Shevchenko too.

Altobelli, meanwhile, was a good player - but all-time Serie A great?

Nah completely unbalanced midfield that. Altobelli up front!! **** reet off.
Gannini was a class player, I mentioned him t'other day but a midfield two of Rijkaard and Desailly would run over Pirlo and Giannini. Stick Donadoni and Gullitt either side of em and your talking unstppable. Diego and Van Basten up front.

You couldn't possibly have Totti, Baggio and Del Piero - not even ****ing Zeman would do that.

Zanetti should be in there, although he probably suffered from his utility-ness.

All those three are poor men's Maradonas (or indeed Zidanes). Baggio might make my bench, mind.

If you wanted balance you wouldnt have Canavarro and Baresi. Ferrara and Baresi for me. No ****ing way would you have Benarrivo at RB. Cafu every time.

Yep - he was at Celtic during those embarrassing few years when they couldn't even get into the top two. He might well be the best uncapped English player in my time on earth (sorry, Brucey).

Elliott was towering in Pisa's defence.

But this was at the height of serie A's dominance
