With the opening ceremony only hours away I got to thinking about those people who aren't interested in sport. What is the alternative for those people to watch. I understand the Olympics are only being shown on BBC (and Sky maybe??) and just wondered are they turning to the Internet for their viewing. I only watch programmes online on my laptop, I make good use of the different channels i-players and different websites. This includes normal programmes and sport. I never use a tv and don't have Sky but I get a wide variety of choice. This way I find I have my choice of viewing and not the choice that the tv companies force onto to me.
So, the question is, who predominently watches online viewing?

I watch it if I am working at the computer, I noticed last night watching the GB v Senegal game, on line you don't get Gary Liniker and friends spouting, you just get to watch the pitch being watered during half time.

    I don't have a TV, but I don't have a good bandwidth either.....so - rather than stream, I download.

I watch mostly streamed stuff or downloads myself, not one for watching whatevers on. No doubt that will change with all the random Olympic sports. Think Cavendish is the first one up to watch tomorrrow, up for Gold in the time trial. What a way to win an Olympic Gold if he does it, bombing down the Strand and past Buck Palace!

I can get everything I need on my ipad and laptop, live freeview, skysports, all the on demand channels plus any downloaded films/tv shows I fancy,. I find watching on either of those devices is quite reclusive though and prefer to watch with others, hence having a tv.

Other than football, I barely watch a single thing on TV.

Rather than 4oD, ITV Player etc though, I stick to Dailymotion/Youtube to avoid adverts.

Particularly 4oD, who really take the piss with them.

One of the sites I use a lot is called ''Project-Free.TV'' http://www.free-tv-video-online.me/

There are a lot of different series on there, some American ones that have never been shown on British TV. I always go by how many seasons have been made, then I look on IMDB at the reviews. I do the same with the movies. They go back to the '70's right upto to this year, there's some crap on there but you'll be surprised how big the site is.
There's multiple links for each season/movies so one of them will work.
