I backed them at a Rock Against Racism gig in Hessle once, I used to be good mates with Pete 'this is a number' Stitt.

Just in case you don't make it, here's the song they did for the royal wedding this year.

Oh, and I know they're trying to get more gigs arranged so when I get given dates I'll give you a heads up so you get a bit more notice for trying to get back for one.

No problems, and yeah, despite my age I agree all this modern stuff is generally ****e.

It's quite weird though, my mum and dad were both into punk when they were younger, but growing up with just my mum in the 90s it was mainly Beautiful South, Oasis, Crowded House (there's more on that kind of thing but I'm terrible with names) she had at the time. It got to the point where my taste in music was older than hers because I had more 80s and earlier music than she did, and she had more new stuff. Admittedly it's the relatively mainstream stuff like Sex Pistols, Specials and the Clash but still that kind of era.

Yeah, I know Pete too (what's this 'Peter' bollocks?) and Hugh. Last saw Pete at a birthday bash in Hull a coupla years ago and Hugh, again at a big birthday do in a York club, around 4 years ago.

Love the story about Hugh and his second-hand car! <laugh> <laugh> <laugh>

Now you point it out it is strange. I'd have said that it was HDM putting people's "proper" names down, but they've left Mike as Mike so they can't be that bothered.
