For those who need a live football fix this weekend then get yourself down to North Ferriby Utd on saturday 7/sept ko.3pm

A top of the table match between the 2 teams who were promoted last season. It is 6th v. 1st.

    Admission £10 - programme £2 - food(pie-peas-chips) and a pint approx £5. Great value.

Get yourself there. It beats doing the shopping with the wife or significant other.

I'll be going. I regularly go and watch Ferriby if I aren't attending City away/International breaks.

The queues for the Pie, chips and mushy peas is much smaller than that experienced every year in the Billy Bly Trophy. I like going to watch Ferriby (close to Kirk Ella) and it gets me away from the missus and her constant attempt to make me do housework... <whistle>

Remember when those bastards beat us in 97/98 FA cup. Still a bit to fresh in the mind for me!

I'm supposed to be in Wembley, but I really couldn't be arsed.

I ran a competition on Twitter to win my tickets and a QPR fan won them, well pissed off...

Also you can watch the big local derby on Sunday, Newbald FC vs North Cave Cobras, 2 ambulances were in attendance the last time the 2 side's met a little over a month ago, and that time it was only a friendly.

Sounds good. Was the ambulances called for fighting or dirty tackles?

Neither, one of the Newbald lads got a pretty nasty ankle injury, unfortunately he's been told he can never play again. Ironically, he got injured fouling one of our lads. Hopefully they won't be out for revenge this Sunday. <laugh>

First round of the cup and we get our local rivals, you couldn't write these kind of things ...

One of the people who entered the competition sent over his details, I transferred the tickets, then he decided he couldn't be arsed either. <laugh> ****er.:emoticon-0120-doh:

You're not wrong, I mean we're the better team on paper, but football isn't played on paper. At the end of the day, as long as we give 110% I'll be happy. Just because we beat them last time doesn't mean anything, the lads always take it one game at a time.

Better team on paper? Potential banana skin there. I hear their centre forwards got good feet for a big man, leave him unmarked at the back stick and it maybe against the run of play but its a shock on the cards. After that they'll just park the bus.

Just about sums up the appeal of watching England at the moment i would suggest ? <whistle>

As for the Ferriby v Hednesford game it was a very good game to watch. Nice sunny day and a great start for NFU who were one up within a minute. Final result 3-0. It is well worth a visit for anyone who cannot make City away games / International breaks.

North Ferriby Utd are at Home to Workington in the league on tuesday 17th sept. ko 7.45pm for anyone who wants some live midweek football.

I also had a trip to see The Villagers v Hednesford.

Good game although Hednesford players and staff were a right whinging set of twats.

Yes. The no.8 Eliot Durrell was a poor version of Robert Snodgrass with his whinging and moaning.
