Accusations (even old ones) do not equal guilt.

Unless they are levelled against polititicians or renter trainers you don't like. At least that is the impression you get reading this and other forums.

The accusations about Cosby have been going round for years but have been largely ignored, I'm guessing because of who he is. A bit like most of the others that have surfaced here. Alarm bells have been rung but the people that should have been listening chose to close their ears. La la la...it's just women or young kids making these claims so they must be lying. Maybe lessons will be learned, but I doubt it.

Annoys the hell out of me. If they're guilty, after a trial, then sure, open season on them. Until then, seeing speculation and assumptions of guilt is NOT what our justice system is based on. Trial by media is just awful.

As is "well he's probably got away with it because of who he is", which is an appalling stance to adopt when that is NOT based on fact, and it is tantamount to accusing him directly.

Innocent until proven guilty has got to mean something, otherwise we're just moving back to the dark ages.

Unsurprising. We thought of Savile as powerful in his industry. He is nothing in comparison to Cosby.

Everyone has known this for years. There are 14 women total who have claimed he drugged and then rapped them. They are mainly actresses and models from back in the 70's and 80's. Some of the women are famous but most are not. Most of the crimes are passed the statuette of limitations, but he has settled civil lawsuits with at least one. A couple women went to lawyers and the police after the rapes and were laughed at and that is why they didnt press charges. Super model Janice Dickinson is one of the women who claim he drugged and then rapped them.

In an ideal lovely world it would happen but when lots of people are shouting the same thing and the people in charge are ignoring claims to protect the people doing the abusing then what do you propose? In the most recent possible case involving MPs/high ranking Armed forces personnel etc then how do a few dozen young boys get their voices heard and most importantly believed?

They won't when Asian shopkeepers and unemployed got away with it for years.
There is more chance of the hig-ranking ones being brought to. Justice as the police love a photo opportunity with well known names. Look how many times the press are tipped off to the police going to take someone in at 6am when they could just have easily asked them to come in for questioning. They are hardly likely to go into hiding when everyone knows their faces.

In an ideal lovely world? ****ing hell, wanna be a bit more patronising?

Sure, you're right, a few people have made accusations against someone who they could make some money out of, so yeah, lets drag him through the streets, destroy his reputation and then hang, draw and quarter him, who needs a judicial process eh?

Lets start linking this in the US to some recent cases in the UK based on acts up to 40 years ago. Brilliant. How about those people who "got off" because, you know, they were innocent? No? Not fit the agenda?

I am *not* saying he isn't guilty btw, I am saying that this trial by media and online ****wits is not how it should be done.

I think all Charlie is saying is the police should have investigated the allegations properly at the time. The same as Rochdale and Rotherham.

    Cosby, guilty as charged.

I’d lock his defence team up with the dirty **** for some of the **** they spouted.

I presume his deposition in 2005 in a case that he settled for over $3m won’t have helped!!! (actually it might not have been disclosed until after this verdict...but even so!)

Troiani: When you got the quaaludes, was it in your mind that you were going to use these quaaludes for young women that you wanted to have sex with?

    Cosby: Yes.

They were used a lot for heightened sexual experience.
Not saying he hasn't drugged them but it's a grey area for me how out of it they were. Especially Janice whose taken ****loads of drugs
Did he pay her cos he didn't want the bad press or cos he was guilty.
